Ann Kvaal Recognized for Her Role as Association Management Services Provider

In her four years with FWI and its Foundation, Kvaal has brought continuity and a professional image to the association and its members, Kinder said. During this time, Kvaal has helped FWI make the transition from its former employee-based structure to the current volunteer-led system.
“Ann’s insight and experience has been a valuable asset to FWI,” Kinder said in presenting the award. “She has worked as a pivotal resource on many projects, always maintaining the best interests of the association’s mission and vision. FWI members are fortunate to have Ann’s professional support and genuine commitment as an important part of our continued success.”
Kvaal worked as a newspaper reporter, editor and public relations professional before launching AK Communications in 1998. She provides association management services to four other non-profit associations in addition to FWI and public relations services to several education-based and small business clients. She is a member of both the Minnesota School Public Relations Association and the Midwest Society of Association Executives.
