FWI Kicks Off See Jane Lead Workshop Nationwide

Tuesday, February 12, 2008

Workplace dynamics are working in women’s favor in industries such as financial services, where women employees outnumber men 3 to 1 but have made a slow climb up the corporate ladder.

A new Financial Women International Foundation workshop, See Jane Lead, teaches women strategies for using their innate abilities toward career advancement. The program was created by best selling author Dr. Lois Frankel, based on her book See Jane Lead: 99 Ways for Women to Take Charge at Work.

"Women think strategically, act influentially and collaborate effectively every day in theri personal and professional lives. Through FWI and the See Jane Lead workshop, they can learn how to hone these skills to make an even greater impact on our industry," said FWI Foundation Chair Cindy Haas, senior vice president of private banking of Anchor Bank in Eagan, Minnesota.

See Jane Lead is the FWI Foundation’s 2008 Paragon Circle workshop, funded by 24 individual and group contributions from the FWI membership. Each year, dozens of FWI groups sponsor the half-day program, which is taught by one of FWI’s specially trained Certified Program Facilitators. To learn more or to view workshop dates and locations, visit www.fwi.org or call 866-236-2007.

Financial Women International and its Foundation are dedicated to developing leaders, accelerating careers, and generating results for professionals in the banking and financial services industry. Membership is comprised of financial executives representing all 50 states, Canada, and Russia.
