Ann Kvaal, AK Communications, Roseville, Minnesota

Ann Kvaal began her career as a newspaper reporter and editor, transitioned into public relations in 1994 and launched AK Communications in 1998.   Ann provides association management services to four other non-profit associations in addition to FWI, and public relations services to several education-based and small business clients.  She is an active volunteer and member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, and a member of both the Minnesota School Public Relations Association and the Midwest Society of Association Executives.

Ann has worked with FWI and FWI Foundation for over four years bringing continuity and a professional image to the Association and its members.  During this period, Ann has helped transition from our former employee-based structure to the current all-volunteer system.  Her insight and experience has been a valuable asset to the Association.  She has worked as a pivotal resource on many projects, always maintaining the best interests of the Association’s mission and vision.  FWI members are fortunate to have Ann’s professional support and genuine commitment as an important part of our Association’s continued success.
