FWI conducts research on the status of women in the banking and financial services industry in an effort to close the leadership gap. Information derived from these important studies is useful for those considering a career in the industry, and also serves to raise awareness.
The Leadership GapTM
FWI conducted a survey (December 2006)
and focus groups (January 2007) of community
banks which focused on the questions related to
the impact that the pending boomer retirement
explosion will have on community banking. View

The board may elect to conduct this survey and focus groups. This research focuses on the leadership gap questions related to the impact that the pending boomer retirement explosion will have on community banking and the necessary competencies. The survey design and requirements will be reviewed and revised as needed to ensure that the survey meets the needs of members and individuals in the financial services industry.

series of ongoing research studies conducted by
FWI focused on the status of
women working in banks and credit

The board may elect to conduct this survey. This survey focused on the status of women working in banks and/or credit unions. It offers an opportunity to conduct cutting edge research of importance to the advancement of women in the financial services industry. The survey design and requirements will be reviewed and revised as needed to ensure that the survey meets the needs of members and individuals in the financial services industry.
