Competition in the workplace will become fierce in the years to come as bankers will be competing with a larger pool of both more experienced senior bankers and more educated young professionals vying for fewer key positions. Will your experience plus education hold up against the competition. Please tell us what the highest level of education you have achieved.

Over scheduled calendars and sedentary desk work can wreak havoc on physical health and mental well being.  Health professionals recommend a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise each day for improved physical health.  I would take that one step further and suggest that it is great for your mental health.  Therapeutic aerobic activity forces the blood to pump stronger allowing the body to take in more oxygen.   The benefits of increased oxygen will help reduce fatigue and improve alertness.

Walking tones your body, replenishes your energy and clears your mind.   Walking is a no pressure, no effort exercise which can be done alone or in a group.  Walking on your own allows you time to work through the days issues or plan for the day.  You can release tensions and aggravations of the day and take your mind to creative and soothing places.  Eliminating the stress of life’s pressures and demands relaxes your muscles and increases vigor.

An inexpensive no excuse exercise plan is Mall Walking.   Mall walking does not require coaching, special equipment, clothing or training.  All you need is a mall in your local work or home area.   Mornings are the best time to walk. Malls generally open their doors early to accommodate the arrival of employees which lends to a perfect environment.  No need to worry about spending too much at the mall, the stores are not open!  If you enjoy walking with friends inquire with your local mall customer service booth for Mall Walking programs.

Regardless if you walk on your own or with others take advantage of the healing effects of mall walking.
